Education for Growing Economy

This project has been granted with the right to use the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 (EYCH) label (logo, slogan and hashtag). This means our project fulfills the award criteria and contributes to achieving one or more of the objectives of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage. Our students enhanced their knowledge related to European cultural heritage: for the participants was established a program with cultural visits. Participants were able to visit and experience significant cultural heritage sites in the historic city of Braga, in the beautiful capital Lisbon, in the nearby religious capital of Portugal, Fatima, in Ponte de Lima, Viana do Castelo and Porto. Thanks to this Erasmus+ project, our students had the opportunity to discover Portugal, its outstanding cultural and historical heritage. They got the opportunity to know and learn from other people – and were able to learn that there is much more that unites European citizens than divides them. Before departure to Portugal, students were prepared by using “Europeana”, which is Europe’s open digital platform for cultural and scientific heritage. Students were able to find images, text, video and other content about Portugal, on almost everything: from architecture, art and history to science, fashion and much more. This has provided to our students multiple perspectives on historical, political, economic and cultural developments across Portugal.
